The bday boy

Rasta celebrating his bday where he most like to be
Rasta celebrating his bday where he most like to be

On May 15th was Leandro's birthday, our dear Rasta.

Rasta is the keenest surfer I know, and when asked how he wanted to celebrate that special date, the answer could not have been different: Surfing all day!

And so it was ...

In the morning we surfed a lefthander called Love Charms, good powerful waves, with five feet in size. In the afternoon we went to another wave, now a righthander, called Blue Bowls which was with the same size and a tube section on the inside, for the joy of the birthday boy.

At the end of the day he was happy. Lefts in the morning and rights in the afternoon...

Now we just left Blue Bowls and we are going to a wave called Beacons, still in Huvadhoo Atoll. We will check if the conditions here are good and if not we leave to Addu, the southern atoll of the Maldives. There we gonna surf and start to organize the boat for the passage to Mauritius.

The Machine

The waves in Yin Yang were good, but since we passed by the wave called The Machine on the way down to Yin Yang, we were looking forward to see it working.

So since the swell started to rise, we decide to leave Yin Yang and come back to The Machine.

We arrived yesterday in the afternoon, and even being small the waves were really fun.

The forecast says that the swell is suposed to rise tomorrow.

We are looking forward to see the barrels of The Machine working...

Yin Yang

Rodrigo
Rodrigo ''Kowalsky'' Dalcol

After checking the waves on the east side of Laamu atoll, Machine and Refugee's, we cam to the southern coast where the wave Yin Yang is located.
Our guide says that it's the more constant wave of the area, and since on the other ones it was flat, this must be the place.

A soon as we arrived we went to the water and the wave already showed it's evil side, Rasta cut his feet and Rodrigo broke a board.

We hope today gets better, but with this full moon the tides and currents are quiet big and are messing with our fun.

Let's see what happens this afetrnoon.

Heading south!

Surfing over the reef.
Surfing over the reef.

After we left Male our first stop was South Male, and since there were no waves we decided to keep on moving. We stoped on two more atolls and we were able to catch some waves, but nothing really good.

Since the boys are visiting we dont have time to loose, so we have been been doing overnights, we leave at sunset and arrive at sunrise.

It's 6am and we are 2 hours away from the wave called Machine, it's on an atoll that supposely gets more swell and we hope there are some big ones waiting for us.
